Attribution has always been the bane of digital marketing. Which click gets the credit for the conversion?
I’m really looking forward to the clarity that the new Google Analytics attribution tool will provide. It’s not perfect but it’s a great step in the right direction.
2. Big Data Without Integration Is Broken
I see big data as actually smaller slices of data, at least to be really useful that is. Big data allows digital marketers to get more granular and target a market of one. This could actually be a really good thing for both marketers and customers. My fear is that we’ll need to go through a large ‘Growing Pain’ period much like we saw in the early days of web analytics. Sure we’re moving at an accelerated rate these days but for me personally I’d love to move even faster.
