Success is rarely overly complicated.

In fact, there’s no reason why a multi-million dollar sales funnel needs to be complex at all.

Fundamentally it’s about the right strategy, knowing the marketplace and nailing trust and belief. It’s not about how many moving parts you have in your health funnel, especially when you don’t yet have a day one breakeven funnel.

This type of complexity is only good after you’ve got a simple funnel working and are looking to maximize it.  You could easily spend all of your time and money building a complex marketing machine only to find out that it didn’t move the needle enough to justify the effort and cost.

A simpler funnel is better, because the more complex your funnel is, the more places there are that it could fail. More often than not, a failing funnel means the visitors trust breaks at some critical point in the funnel causing your prospect to bounce.

In a complex one time offer (OTO) health and supplement sales funnel there are just too many pieces to keep track of. With a simple but effective funnel you really only have three levers to focus on and improve.

Once you’ve got those three critical pieces honed in you can easily scale and add rocket fuel to your funnel without adding massive complexity.

You first have to craft the right magic with just three simple levers.

Those three levers are:

  1. The sales hook
  2. The lead copy
  3. The offer

Let’s look at each one…

The Sales Hook

The sales hook is what is going to bring in your cold traffic to your funnel. It is the interesting angle that makes the prospect want to know more. Ideally it is something that they haven’t heard before and makes them so curious that they simply MUST know. It is  literally the hook that catches them.

The Lead Copy

The lead copy is tied directly to your sales hook because it continues the conversation, but it also bridges to the main sales letter copy. The lead copy is usually the first 300 – 500 words.

The Offer

The offer is the the positioning of the product itself and can be summed up in the details of what you get. All killer health offers consists of seven key elements.

In a multi-million dollar sales funnel it is the combination of all three levers, along with the economics of the funnel, that makes it all work.

One of the critical elements to making your day one break even funnel work, is the video sales letter (VSL).

A VSL is a direct response style sales letter put into a video format. There are many different variations but what we recommend starting with during the dialing in phase is simply text read by a professional voice over actor. The combination of text and speech has a hypnotic effect.

We recommend using a VSL because it lets you clearly see which of the three levers is the weakest. When we’re first dialing in and creating a new VSL, we always A/B test each of the critical levers.
