Sadly we often jump to “speaking” by rushing straight to brainstorming ideas to test.
Instead, we need to learn to listen first to what people say.
Then listen further to what people do.
Before putting pixel to wireframe.
Listening gets us closer to the customer’s frame of mind, which is where all conversion happens.
So, if listening better leads to better testing, then it becomes a competitive advantage to start every test with listening.
The only question is, will you stay quiet long enough to REALLY hear.
